This is a scrapbook of poledance extras. I’ve been poledancing for nearly two decades, performing across the country including as a finalist for Miss Pole Dance UK.
Some competitions and pole schools are nervous about the form’s roots in sex work, and seek to make that history less visible. Amnesty International and others are listening to those working in the sex industry. Poledancers continue to be part of the conversation.
